Silverado297
Simple question for somebody that knows about electrical more than I do. - ok I lf I have my battery bank close to my amp, is it better I run a ground to my negative terminal on battery to my amp? Or leave it the way I have it, - a 10" piece from amp term. to the frame of truck ?
Slinky
If your battery is close to your amp, you could just run your ground to the negative of the battery. Silverado297
That's what I'm wondering , but is it better I ground to the chassis or battery terminal?
MrBigs63'
If you will go to the ce autio electric supply section I believe, Snafu and Tony DAmore did a lot of testing on which one was better. Great write up by those two.

DollarBill1
If it's easy to do I would try each way and see which way actually holds better voltage. 2009 Chevy 2500HD Crew Cab Current Set up - Headunit - JVC 6100BT Mids/Highs - Sundown SA-6.5 CS x2 - 4 Crescendo pwx6.5's - 2 Crescendo ft1's Mids/Highs amps - 2 Sundown SAX100.4 V2 Sub amp - NS-1 V2 Alts - 2 Singer 320a 6 Phase 2 XS D4800 under the hood 2 XS D3100's in back 2 Sundown Team 18's walled
morphey86
make sure you have a solid ground from battery to chassis but it will be best to just go to battery if its a short run.
OrionStang
Do both. EDIT: Read it wrong. Ground to battery, with the battery grounded to the frame. If the battery is close to the amp, there won't be much difference between grounding to the battery or the frame.
