5-6k recommended batt and alt

Recommended Posts

the biggest alt is not always the answer.. it will also depends how you drive your car. the higher the amperage the smaller the pulley. i got a 350a thinking it would be bad ass. a few high rpm runs and alt is making grinding noises

2 runs is more than enough. 3 batteries minimum 4 is best

Its getting ridiculous because everyone is making assumptions with out knowing anything.

Who here knows the subs, amps, speakers and vehicle in question?

For all we know he could be looking at running boss or Pyle with 2 12s wired at 2ohms. Equipment only able to make a full 1k rms with less then 120amps of draw on music.

Or

A true 5k amp with 2 15s wired at .5ohms that wants to pull 200-250amps on music.

Maybe its built for comps and only needs enough power for 3-4 5sec burps.

Maybe its a 4banger that can't fit more then a 175amp alt and likes to charge at 13.5v hot.

No one knows yet...

singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

Electricity takes the path of least resistance.

More runs more options less resistance

Any street guy will tell you that. That's why you see street guys with 10 runs to a single battery and amp
