JEMT8 Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 I'm not sure if this should be more in the political section so feel free to move if off topic isn't appropriate for this. I just wanted to share a link that I stumbled upon on Facebook that brought up a great point about police body cameras that I never thought of and I'm sure many others haven't either. It's a short radio interview with Police Chief David Oliver, who is pretty popular with his brimfield police department Facebook page, where he dicusses the potential for invasion of privacy" with police body cameras and the footage being public record that anybody can have access to. http://michiganradio.org/post/police-chief-writes-about-potential-invasion-privacy-body-cameras-could-bring formerly known as Jaylor Swift
bcpballer64 Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 I don't think the footage should be public record. It should be confidential and kept private unless needed for evidence. "The strongest reason for people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." -- (Thomas Jefferson)

Broke_Audio_Addict Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 It should only be public if necessary. Laws would have to be in place to protect the footage before all officers are required to wear them. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
98crewcab Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 so, if we were to record them, we have to say that they are being recorded otherwise we get in trouble.....are they required to mention that we are being recorded? or do they just continue along with whatever they want? 06 2500hd, 6.0L, 4l80e, 4wd, (muah work truck) 7" BDS HC lift kit (5) 37x13.5R18 Toyo Open Country M/Ts (5) 18x10 Moto Metal MO962 tablet in lieu of deck blue tooth interconnect to soundstream eq (for volume control and bass control) 4 Alpine type r 10's 6 cubes net, 80sqin's port, tuned to 33hz 2 brutus brx5000.5's 2 pairs 3" polk audio for a pillars 4 pairs polk audio 6.5 comps 1 pair 8" polk audio for mids 2 xspower d3400 batteries.....learning alot from meade and his circle of some of the baddest installers ive seen- thanks guys, for not being so cocky and posting the way it should be done!P.S. Afficionado Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 Why cant it be the same laws as police dash cameras? If you have any questions relating to nutrition, lifting, or health in general, feel free to give me a PM and I will give you straight forward advice with no BS involved.
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 When you are in public you can be recorded without permission, you have no assumed right to privacy in public. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

never knows best Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 When you are in public you can be recorded without permission, you have no assumed right to privacy in public. ^^^this.... if you act a fool in public it's public..... now say if you were able to type in a persons name into a data base and come up with all kinds of videos..... don't know if I like the idea of that-
