tbeats Posted February 3, 2015 Report Posted February 3, 2015 So with the manual with the DD1 and cc1 it says a 12 inch sub 100hz at 24db. Has anyone tried 100hz if so how did you like it? In the past myself an most have always done 80hz on 12's regardless the slope db.
MrSkippyJ Posted February 4, 2015 Report Posted February 4, 2015 too high for me, but it's really personal preference. F150: Stock 2019 Harley Road Glide: Amp: TM400Xad - 4 channel 400 watt Processor: DSR1 Fairing (Front) 6.5s -MMats PA601cx Lid (Rear) 6x9s - TMS69
lyons238 Posted February 4, 2015 Report Posted February 4, 2015 i typical roll the sub off at around 75hz and roll the mids off at 85 hz. start with something like that and then play some test tones in the 60-90hz range and see if it sounds natural. if not then tweak until it does.
slowfkncar Posted February 5, 2015 Report Posted February 5, 2015 Like skippy said, personal preference. For daily (i only run 1kw when my ears need a break) im sold at lpf 100@24db bpf 125@12db. Reasoning? I run a sealed enclosure for daily and have everything eq'd to play nice and flat. When im not looking for some sound quality, ill just throw one of my 1ohm(4k clamped) woofers and dump the lpf to 60hz for spl purposes. For some people, there is no perfect setting especially if you like a little sound quality here and there.
Kyblack76 Posted February 5, 2015 Report Posted February 5, 2015 It's just a general rule if thumb. Your system isn't set up like mine. Mine isn't like his or hers.
