BassMunky Posted February 6, 2015 Report Share Posted February 6, 2015 I have a diehard battery platinum up front and a optima yellowtop group 31 in back on a rf amp 1500. when my car off the battery rest at 12.5 is that good or bad? my stinger is hooked up to the amp and reads 12.5 when offf and when im moving it goes to 13.9. both battery are about 2-3 years old. What is everyone voltage at? poorfish88 Posted February 6, 2015 Report Share Posted February 6, 2015 DMM them right at the led. Is it a Stinger volt meter your using? If so, they can be adjusted to read diffent voltages. Great right a volt meter that you have to program to read the correct voltage. ChevyBoy95 Posted February 7, 2015 Report Share Posted February 7, 2015 Use an actual Digital Multi Meter (or DMM) and check the voltage. I personally wouldn't like my batteries resting at 12.5v, even though that isn't bad, they might need to be thrown on the charger more often. Stinger Volt Meters are nice for a general read out, but by no means are they "accurate."
