I think it's more likely they are meaning peak power from one amp which has no real meaning and shouldn't be placed on the front of an amp. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. We do have un-educated people that buy like say a Boss 5000 because it says 5000watts are they getting anywhere near that? Hell no, but that label of 5k made money simple and thats business. osixfrontier Posted April 22, 2015 Report Share Posted April 22, 2015 I have the 8000.1d and regardless of the fiber max power numbers they paste on it this amp does rated power. my setup is 3 g31 a 320 amp singer alt and a group 34 up front and this amp is is worth every penny!
