I wouldn't recommend Acer usually but if you're not using it as your main computer it should be fine. Also I would stay away from Windows 8...of course that a personal preference I just hate the interface. also what N8 said. You could get a i5 in a 400$ laptop, much faster.

Some are a PITA to port to win7. Samsungs are notorious for not having drivers for win7. I would check to make sure they have win7 drivers available before you buy it.
