zwarrington
I'm assuming the fuse that you are popping is the one on your power wire, and not the fuses on the amps? What size of power wire are you running from your battery to your amp? Where is the fuse installed on that wire and what size is it? How long is your ground wire from your amp and can you take a picture of where that ground is bolted to?

mhuffman
I will specify once I see it but what I just read on crutchfield says the 1000bd is 1ohm.. once again unless I looked at it wrong or clicked on the wrong thing. it is just shitty 6 guage for now. it will be getting rewired with all 0 soon. and the ground wire is a 4g and is like 16inches long with and has a crimped loop which is attached to the bolt holding my seat down which is clean and goes directly into the body
Broke_Audio_Addict
Show us a pic of your exact amp. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. reedal
on a side note Ive heard seat belt bolts aren't great grounds... Yes. But seat bolts can be as long as there is good continuity. It's what I use for mine, no issues, good continuity. Miguels
6 gauge wire might be the issue. specially if its the budget wire. you need 4 gauge or better my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
zwarrington
If you have 6 gauge wiring what size of fuse are you using? This amp needs a 140 amp fuse. I'm thinking a 6 gauge wiring kit has just an inline 60 amp fuse?
