How much hp are you making?

Recommended Posts

2004 Sierra 2500 with the 6.0

As a rough estimate....I'd say 450-475hp and 500-550 torque.

Not too bad, but not crazy.

I currently have these performance mods:

Superchips programmer

K&N Cold air intake

Headmen shortubes

Magnaflow High Flow cats

3" true duel with Flowmaster super 10's and 4.5" tips angled at a 45

Eaton lockers

4:88 gears

I doubt you are making anywhere near those numbers with those mods

Used to have a loud truck

2009 Corvette Z06, H/C/I, 150 shot, g force tune, 730rwhp/690rwtq

2013 F-150 limited, MPT Tune, leveled on 35"s

I mean the truck makes 350hp stock, and the programmer adds like 75-85 hp itself. And i'm not talking whp, just from the crank.

no way in hell a programmer adds that much, hell a real dyno tune wont even get close to adding that much power

a 6.0 is a gas engine, the 6.6 is a diesel

hell i figure I got about 211 donkey power, and 340 shoe pounds.

^see how dumb that looks? I'm betting that 6.0l Sierra is doing 350ish rwhp, and close to 400ft-lbs. That 80e in that rig is going to be a power robbing mofo.

Compared to what?

It's only 0.074 HP per pound.

A kawasaki H2R has 354HP and weighs about 440 pounds, with rider about 610lbs, which is 0.58HP/pound.

Thinking is the root of all problems...

You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
