That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. It means that you are past your subs power limit and you are creating heat which in turn lowers the efficiency of the driver which means you'll actually be quieter with more power. Basically you exceeded the power your sub can handle and you are harming its performance.
