KiKaZz74
So I just got a new car about a month and a half ago. First thing I did was replace the old wipers of the frame style with a beam blade. Well these seem to suck. I got the Bosch marathons cuz they were on sale at my work and decently cheaper than the rainx ones. Well now they leave streaks and skip like I'd expect from a frame blade. So I'm looking for a good all season blade that cleans the windshield of rain, dirt, bugs, and bird poo, and sap if possible. I'm using rainx bug remover washer fluid. The windshield is rainxed but may need it again. Some of the best blades I've heard on are piaa super silicone. But I saw those were frame blades. Does anyone have experience with piaa blades such as the super silicones, aero hybrid, or si tech beam blades? Just want the best performing blade that will last all year. Need a 12, 19, and 24" blade. Thank you. Cody. Broke_Audio_Addict
I loved my Bosch icons and didn't have any issues like you are describing with them. Keep the blades clean and keep the windshield clean but not by using your wipers to clean it. One thing that will kill wipers real fast is using them on a dry dirty windshield. audiofanaticz
I use to use rainx blades but gave up having to replace them every couple months. I do use the orange rainx washer fluid tho. Both my cars have Trico Onyx blades now, also put them on my parents vehicles as well after having no issues with them, and being over a year old. http://tricoproducts.com/Drivers/WiperProducts/PremiumPerformance/TRICOOnyx
Robert8252
I'd contact Bosch and complain. I love my icons. Usually get 14-18 months out of a set. 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff
Pioneerchuck
It would really help if you actually cleaned and treated your windshield. You'd be amazed how much of a longer life you'll get out of your blades with a cleaned and treated windshield.
KiKaZz74
Its like uneven pressure that's leaving streaks. Windshield coated with rainx. Rainx wiper fluid. The wipers are a cheap version of icons from what I understand. We only carry 3 beam blades at work. Rainx latitude Trico flex Bosch marathons. As far as cleaning I do it with fluid cuz of bugs or dirt while it sits away from home or gas station that I can clean it better. I'll contact them. Maybe return them. Just wanted more info on the silicone wipers before I pulled the trigger. For the piaa ones idk which type to get tho. Broke_Audio_Addict
Don't know but I can tell you the icons were the best wipers I ever had, they lasted me 2 years. Now I just get Delco or Motorcraft ones because I get them for next to nothing. Keeping your windshield clean really does make a huge difference. I clean mine with soapy water and a razor blade then I rain x or aquapel it.
