sbg
So my boss has the new term lab magnum. And it seems to be a Hart braker. About 10 guys now have got on the meter and do far under what they would think they are at. And this is not new guys to the game. People who I have seen do mid 50s on the old style meter, then in the new build they have do like a 150db and be like wtf this is as loud if not louder then a past build. Not looking to start a shit fest. Just curious if some one has metered a car with old meter then the new and seen what happend. Had a few guys say that old meter to the new there is a 3-5db difference, because of the accuracy of the new meter. What you guys think? If we had the old meter I would test my self.. 01 focus se 110 amp alt Big 3 sky high and stinger hpm ofc 1/0 Super start platinum AGM (starting) 2 runs of 1/0 Execution audio front to back Kenwood double DIN DDx271 A pillars- orion 4" super tweeter and 2-1" alpines. sbg
Please don't take it that I'm trying to take away from someone's score because of the old meter. EDH
The old termlab(pre 2002?) was very inaccurate and measured much louder than newer versions. The termlab used 2003-2014 measures within a few tenths of the termlab magnum. SMS
I just used the magnum at a show yesterday and did some side by side testing with the previous version, there within .15 of each other. As for average on music bass race or what we call bass brawlin it seems a little jumpy, a little harder to keep a number constant.
