Integra_boomer
I had a good question for all the battery gurus out there. I was wondering why the telecom/ specialty agm batteries cost more than group size agms.. for example. One NSB group 31 cost around 350 plus or minus new.. with 100 AH while an NSB SMS 220 cost over 500 new and only has 100ah. Is there some key factor that makes the specialty battery superior? 1995 Integra GSR (DB8) Pioneer 3200-DVD 6.5 rockford fosgate 2-way fronts 6.5 rockford fosgate 3-way rear saz-3000D (2) 12" SA-12s

hispls
A combination of economy of scale producing the "common" size batteries, and the fact that if you think you need something "special" "specialty" "unusual" or "special purpose" anything the manufacturer knows you're willing to pay a premium. Miguels
It's more of a tooling thing. Everything that is mass produced cost less than those that are not. It goes with every single thing not just batteries. You'd be surprised what a small change to something will cost just because machines have to be programmed to do something different my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/

Broke_Audio_Addict
Anything geared toward a special use always cost more. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
