Wasteland_Audio Posted November 3, 2015 Report Posted November 3, 2015 So right now i am running 2 Audiopipe APK4500's wired up to 2 DClv6m3 dual 2's, each at 1 ohm. I've been having issues with the cone traveling noticeably more on one of the subs no matter how close i get the settings on each amp, i've even gone as far as using a multimeter to match the output voltage on each set of speaker terminals. My question is since these amps are strapable ( 9000wrms at 2 ohms), would it be a good idea to rewire the subs and amps to eliminate this issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Keith77 Posted November 3, 2015 Report Posted November 3, 2015 I would strap. You dont have the right tools to gain match. You need a CC1 Edit: but what I would really do is buy new amps or amp. Thats cool. Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born. My penis is bigger than your penis I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.
MrSkippyJ Posted November 3, 2015 Report Posted November 3, 2015 it is possible it isn't the amps causing the issue. what is your box like? F150: Stock 2019 Harley Road Glide: Amp: TM400Xad - 4 channel 400 watt Processor: DSR1 Fairing (Front) 6.5s -MMats PA601cx Lid (Rear) 6x9s - TMS69

As far as the amps go they run the same Zenon boards as Crecendo and DC 5.0k's, I'm willing to trust them until they let me down. They don't seem to have a problem moving the cones any, that's for sure. I'm just having a problem figuring out how to wire them up strapped, it's a little confusing.

Wasteland_Audio Posted November 3, 2015 Author Report Posted November 3, 2015 it is possible it isn't the amps causing the issue. what is your box like? I got the enclosure specs from Wil at DC, they aren't in separate chambers or anything and they both are firing into a flat surface so i don't think it would be a loading issue. Here's a pic when it was about half built (everything is double layered and it's a triple baffle with a center support)

I understand the concept i'm just having a hard time wrapping my head around wiring 2 of them up while keeping them series/parallel.
