Subsonic Filter Pros and Cons

All pro and no cons unless you like destroying subs.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

Not using it would destroy subs? Lol

Do you even know what it does?

if you feel that the subsonic filter is a bad thing then you need to tune your enclosure to a lower frequency because playing much lower than the port tune causes your sub to unload and lose control and burn up.... if you want to play lower then 30hz you need to tune accordingly..... a sub in a 30hz box will not like 22hz waves..... hence why most people set the subsonic at 28hz and tune ports around 32hz ....without a subsonic filter you cant set your lower limits for a safe passband "low cutoff"

If you dont know your systems' limits or dont know the song(s) you're playing, yes.
