CoreyOrec Posted December 13, 2015 Report Posted December 13, 2015 Hey everybody, I'm from Australia and I'm very keen in learning more about car audio, which is why I love watching Steve Meade's Youtube videos, ive got a 2001 Holden VX Calais ( Australian GM car ) ive got x2 Polk Audio DB6501 in the front and x2 DB651 in the back, x1 Rockford Fosgate P1000X5, x2 12" Pioneer Champion Series Subwoofers and a Pioneer Mono Block, its an awesome system and sounds great for the price I payed, but I just wanted to know if I'm the only Polk Audio fan, any suggestions on other 6.5" Components? Thanks guy's
Skullz Posted December 13, 2015 Report Posted December 13, 2015 The polk MM's are a very solid product and sound really good. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
RainStryke Posted December 13, 2015 Report Posted December 13, 2015 Don't have much experience with polk audio. I am curious about your set-up though. Why are you not using the rockford for your sub amp?
Wehan Posted December 19, 2015 Report Posted December 19, 2015 I run the same Polk components and the 6x9's in my Chevy Cobalt, I've been very pleased with them.

hifonix Posted December 19, 2015 Report Posted December 19, 2015 I have had the Polk MOMO series 1 and 2, components and 6x9's. Now the MM (mobile monitor) components and the 6x9's All have been very nice sounding, very full sound. The tweeters can be a little harsh if your not careful. I would recommend the MM series over the DB series all day. Under Construction
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted December 19, 2015 Report Posted December 19, 2015 The Polk db's I heard had a real harsh sound to the tweeters, that could just be my ears though. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
BoomZoom808 Posted January 6, 2016 Report Posted January 6, 2016 These are the older ones but I don't think they sound harsh at all?
