You just have a metric fuck ton of power on tap. I'm personally tuned at 0dB *shrug*

Quick question. I get the point about setting gain for a certain db level. How do you know what level your music is recorded to? Between Pandora, I Tunes, MP3s from various sources. One of my problems is that it seems different sources are at different levels? Is there a standard recording level?

Lol y'all are great and appricate the input. Its nice to have such good support and knowledgable people to help people (like me) out in the technical aspects. I take it that im safe at -10 and just watch my volume and subwoofers when switching different style songs and recordings.

I believe most pandora and i tunes play "safe" music but it all depends on how it was recorded. U can have a lil wayne song play back at 180 kbp and a french montana song play back at 320 kbp. The higher the kbp the better quaility. sometimes i listen to modified music DJSNT decaf and such and they are all either rebassed or remastered af certain frequencys thats where u wanna be cafefull along with kbp quaility. Cheap recording and producing equipment can result in low kbp and the song will just be disorted. I have many songs i downloaded that are 320 kbp and they are clear on all volume i have some songs that are lower kbp and after half volume they sound distorded. Theres more to ur question i just dont have the rest of the answer :(
