2007 F150 horn staying on....FIXED temporarily.

Recommended Posts

Was doing a little work on my truck and I went to relocate the alarm system module that was mounted to the back of the truck and all of a sudden the horn went off and stayed on. I had to disconnect the battery to turn it off. Now, every time I try to reconnect the battery, the horn turns on.

All of the wires are intact going into the alarm module.

Any ideas would be much appreciated!!!

My wifes 01 Navigator did that one time she left the windows down and it rained. The horn ended burning itself out. The truck was ok after it dried out.

It sounds like the alarm module is staying triggered. Did you un plug it when you moved it? Maybe you could push the unlock button on the keychain? Some factory alarms want to see the ignition key turned on to deactivate. I'm sure someone here has seen or heard of this.

Didn't unplug it. I was moving it and that's when it started. I tried hitting every button on the keychain.

I'm gonna mess with it more tomorrow.

Pull the horn fuse or unhook it. I hate horns anyway

my 04 6.0l did the same thing. I just kneed the steering column and it quit. Still works too
