Triticum Agricolam
So do you rear mount the drivers? Yup. Broke_Audio_Addict
Those are beautiful, great job. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. aculous
So do you rear mount the drivers? Yup. alright last question, they look like peerless drivers up front but not out back. Also the TLAHs they talk about having a true corner setup but I know you and I have talked a bit about that. So sealed but a parallel config like this works just as well? And last one...are you running active or passive?

And last one...are you running active or passive? So the mid range drivers are a closeout deal Parts Express had going on a while ago, this is them: https://www.parts-express.com/wfr0400211-4-cast-aluminum-frame-woofer-4-ohm--299-345 The cabinets aren't sealed, they vent out the top. I'll get a picture of it when I get them all put together. They are supposed to be a transmission line tuned to around 80 Hz I believe. These will have passive crossovers. Since I'm using some non-standard midrange drivers I may have to adjust the level of the tweeters down a bit in the crossover. I won't know that until I get them playing and can measure them. Triticum Agricolam
Well I've got them finished up and playing! Here are some pics: So far I think they sound pretty good. I wouldn't say they are my favorite sounding speakers I've ever built, but they do sound good. Its hard to judge because I'm used to what I'm used to and everything else sounds different. What was really surprising though was I don't have to make any level adjustments to the tweeters. They matched up with the mids right off the bat. I wasn't expecting that, though I'm not going to complain. Since I don't have to mess with the crossovers I'll be delivering these to my friend this weekend. I'm excited to see what he thinks of them.
