The second you let a government agency do something, it sets a precedent to expand it, and expand it to the point it becomes national security and now your right is taken away. I think you are missing the part where getting a warrant to gain access to private things is common practice and has been done for years. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. If they turn over the encryption key to them it unlocks every i device made. the distinction isn't being made between decrypting and unlocking the phone. they could unlock the phone and not decrypt. SkarredSierra Posted February 18, 2016 Report Share Posted February 18, 2016 Yeah a warrant is exactly what it takes to invade your privacy, it's why warrants exist and they can't get one without proving a valid reason to the judge to get it. The sad thing is some warrants are illegally obtained by leo's and some judges will sign any warrant placed in front of them. Then police come in and search and dont find wat they came for but find other things and just add that to the warrant later like its no big deal. Im not sayn people committing crimes need to be let off but our justice system is crooked and shady as fuck and violates peoples rights without blinking an eye cuz too many people dont know their rights.
