ToNasty
Daniel told me so if I remember correctly that you still want a battery up front to stabilize the caps or some shit. I wish he chimed in to correct me if I'm wrong ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers

mrd6
I've been running 14k off of a single 240amp alt and 8 banks of maxwell caps in my daily driver for a couple years now. They work great and hold voltage very well. My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL
mcfalcon
Where can I buy these sexy things? A: At the moment, loose SuperCELLs are direct to consumer only by contacting XS Power at info@xspowerbatteries or by calling 865-688-5953. They will be available for direct purchase on our website at 4xspower.com very soon. I think you have to sign a waiver on case you well you know. Still learning but have started gathering. Bump4life
Not sure if I remember correctly but Daniel told me that a single bank is good enough as 200 ah worth of batteries they cant be compared to batteries. I said each bank is good for 200 amps continuous draw. any more and they start to heat too much. tboorn
XS has said before it would be mainly for there competitors and people who know what theyre doing. theres plenty of room for error with caps and if you short them the amount of power let loose is way greater than a battery. they just wanna be sure that whoever is going to buy them is going to be safe Fidelity Built to Last Team Sound Asleep 24Runner Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/196657-24runner-sleeper-system-lots-of-fi-neo-dd-focal-new-video-w-juicebox-lithium/ 2 x 12" Fi BTL N2 / 2 x 12" Fi BTL N3 2 DD M3b Maxwell 2.7V 3000F Supercapacitors Pioneer DEH-80prs Focal P165 V30 components Rockford Fosgate T-400.
Miguels
they will sell the bank to anyone.. they wont sell the caps on their own unless you know what you are doing and sign a waver Q: I’m too scared to work with raw ultracaps, will you offer anything for me in the future? A: Yes, the release of the XS Power SuperCell is mainly to showcase the component parts of our upcoming SuperCell Modules. We have been working on these for nearly a year and a half, and hope to be able to have them ready for official release this summer. The modules will be available through our normal dealer base and will be safe and easy to use for users of any experience level. my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
all4spl
Well I just hopped on this band wagon so to speak I have a single bank (6) 2.7 3000f maxwell caps arriving tomorrow, I have copper bars waiting on their arrival and this post has answered SOME of my questions prior to installing them. On using the 1% 100ohm resistors do I need to get a specific wattage rating on them or? And since I am going to use the resistors its just on between each + and - pair so I would need 3 resistors correct? Also I am seeing 5% resistors not able to find 1%. http://www.amazon.com/E-Projects-Resistors-Watt-100R-Pieces/dp/B00BVCCA90/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1459858442&sr=8-1&keywords=100+ohm+1%25+resistor Does the wattage rating on the resistor matter also? Thanks! Edit I found these. http://www.ebay.com/itm/50pcs-100-ohm-resistor-1-4-watt-1-metal-film-through-hole-US-Seller-/251442093136?hash=item3a8b1ddc50:g:Jv4AAMXQlgtS76ro and these. http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-NEW-XICON-METAL-FILM-RESISTORS-430OHM-430-OHM-1-4W-1-/322035110886?hash=item4afac9d3e6:m:m-W3TFq4U8x1zqVE1pcNzgA Retired from SPL again.... 2016 IASCA Truck/Trunk 2 Champion 151.8db 2016 IASCA Truck/Trunk 2 World Record Holder
Ahmed Johnson
I'm dead serious when I ask this, does anyone know of these blowing up in people's cars? I was thinking of putting a bank in my truck but was afraid I'd be a Jihad waiting to happen
all4spl
Well I am going to wire mine after a 500 amp relay so they don't get dragged down in voltage when the vehicle is off. As for the need for resistors or the balancing circuit from another topic on here the general feeling I get is that in large instances, such as 5+ banks you surely SHOULD be using a balancing circuit however in my case of a single bank I think it will be fine without it, but I will be getting the resistors just in case.
