shayzonblue Posted April 12, 2016 Author Report Posted April 12, 2016 I'm hoping to have them cross around 76-78 hz. The midbass will be baffled in a separate enclosure
Allen Lancos Posted April 12, 2016 Report Posted April 12, 2016 I've done the math and 25 hertz would allow my midbass midrange full range and highs to b next emely accurate because I love SQ and SPL perfectly balanced. Also to he honest I drive a car that doesn't have tons of space. Its my family car. Lol Im running 2 (12's) in 5.5 cubes in a single ca truck bro! Im telling you that tuning will be too low for your choice of music. I'll do body filler all day every day, but this reinforced, fortified fucking kitty hair can kiss my balls.
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted April 12, 2016 Report Posted April 12, 2016 What are the enclosure and port dimensions? That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
Allen Lancos Posted April 12, 2016 Report Posted April 12, 2016 Here is my sub and amp setup! 5.5 cubes, 6500 watts pushing 2 12's I'll do body filler all day every day, but this reinforced, fortified fucking kitty hair can kiss my balls.

Im telling you that tuning will be too low for your choice of music. There is nothing wrong with tuning low. It usually flattens out the frequency response and lowers group delay. The only drawback is it may cost you a little output vs a higher tune, but for many that's a small price to pay for better overall sound quality. It all depends on what your priorities are, what's right for one person may not be right for another. My daily driver is tuned to 26 Hz, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Masterbasser Posted April 12, 2016 Report Posted April 12, 2016 cant this would be "his" magic number but I lsiten to alot of jungle/dubstep/rap. been listening for about 17 years now to jungle with various systems for the last 15 years. (Dieselboy FTW) and around 38 has been great for my listening purposes. Now i dont lsiten to any slowed music but i dditn see him list any of that in his first post. it sounds like he wants something to really bang on jungle/dubstep and around 38 shuld be great for that. ShadeTreeMechanic Posted April 12, 2016 Report Posted April 12, 2016 For a subwoofer stage tuned to 25hz you will most likely need a woofer stage to play 40hz to 150hz. Then mid bass 150hz and up. I don't think your current mid bass will be able to play low enough to fill the gap especially if the sub stage is ported causing a peak at such a low tuning frequency. I have done a similar setup with two 15s and four 10s but not tuned that low. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
