bighossf150 Posted May 26, 2016 Report Posted May 26, 2016 I like the "garbage" ring terminals, I mean I only did a 158.9 with garbage ring terminals and junk CCA wire. You'd have more power to throw at your woofers if you weren't going through thin, high resistance tinned ring terminals and high resistance power wire. My point still stands. You can be totally content with the cheap stuff, that doesn't mean it's just as good though. Buy nice, or buy twice.Don't mean to offend, i'm using CCA wire, i just acknowledge i'd have more voltage going to my amp with OFC, meaning more voltage across the rail, and more power. Lol, you really think with 11 runs of 1/0 CCA I was having trouble getting voltage to the rear batt bank? Oh, and my "cheap stuff system" cost more than 2x what your truck is worth..... Broke_Audio_Addict Posted May 26, 2016 Report Posted May 26, 2016 Tinned copper lugs and a crimper. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

Jessica Posted May 26, 2016 Report Posted May 26, 2016 I use top ones and crimp, you can solder as well, if you use the bottom ones you will be fine too, just don't crimp, only solder Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. Bayuk89 Posted May 26, 2016 Author Report Posted May 26, 2016 Thank you guys, i was leaning towards the temco battery lugs but wanted your opinions..... My current run to my 1500 watt amp is 2ga welding cable and i used 2ga copper battery lugs with solder and heat shrink, upgrading my power and grounds to 1/0 welding cable and adding a second battery so i thought to ask since im buying all new stuff. Gonna use my old 2ga welding cable for my audison SR2. I know 2/0 welding cable is closer to 1/0 car audio wire but a 1/0 welding cable is plenty for a 1500-2000 watt amp. Gonna order 1/0 copper battery lugs tonight
