RageQuitForLife
So I recently just bought this Synergy Audio WFO 15.1 (http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/synergy-audio-wfo-15-1d-2-000w-rms-mono-block.html) and for a while I'm going to be stuck with these Kenwood KFC-W3013PS subs (2 subs) (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-zyXLfLx8Ve3/p_113W3013PS/Kenwood-KFC-W3013PS.html) My problem is I'm not sure if this amp is going to fry my subs, I can only wire them to 2 ohms which will put me at 1200 watts for both subs. The subs are supposed to be rated for 400rms and 800max. If I have them at 600 watts each will they be fine or will they end up being destroyed? bmwking
youll be fine with the gains low. not factoring in box rise or voltage drop youll probably be giving them the right amount of power. basing all this on an accurate power rating for the subs, which it probably isnt. and in that case, yes, yes you will blow them. but be smart and they should last a little while. sencheezy
What you want to do is, on the radio, set you BASS to 0, set your Bass Boost to 0, set your bass level to 0. Next, go to the amp, and set the gain to 0. Next, find your favorite song, you may need a friend for this. Turn the radio all the way up to you max listening level. Should be 2-4 clicks away from 100% volume. Now, with your door speakers screaming haha, slowly turn the gain up on the amp, until you think it's enough for the sub. If you start to smell, hear, or see anything abnormal, turn the gain knob down. And this is how you will prevent yourself from killing them. 165db with 237 DC Volts 6 15" SSA Evils 3 HV Taramps T60k @.33 18 XS Power D3400s Add me on SC, FB, IG, and YT @ Sencheezy

It is better to just set it properly from the get go. Broke_Audio_Addict
It is better to just set it properly from the get go.How do you set it properly from the get go? DD-1 or Oscope Helpful yes, but in this scenario you do not want to use the max clean setting on the gain. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
