So I got a couple things done....sold my little batteries and ended up ordering a D5100 (on it's way). Was on the fence about picking up a Northstar 220, but figured I'd save the cash for a new alternator. Box is now extended by way of 5/16" dowels...worked pretty decent but I threw on a layer of glass to make sure I don't get any pinholes. Did away with the speaker cup and bought some extended pins; and I picked up a cove bit for my router to make the flares look a little more like flares. getting ready to glue everything together...Just hope I won't have any issues with the ports being close together. New wire and copper bars are on there way too, and I've removed the floor to install the 5100 when it gets here. I set one of the subs on the counter to open the door to the garage and this happened. Most of everything is ordered and getting here by the end of the week, so as long as I'm motivated this weekend, it should get done. mbdblue Posted May 14, 2017 Author Report Share Posted May 14, 2017 small update.... and now my back hates me....raining today so I might start laying out the hole patterns for the bus bars; possibly get the baffle glued on but I kinda want to blow out the box with the compressor at work first....lot of MDF dust, filler, and glass in there. Also might be figuring a better option for that rear fuse block. right now I just used industrial velcro cuz the gas tank is under that part of the floor. coming along decent. glad that I don't think I'll ever have to run wiring again in this car.
