If you are going to run an I pad then it doesn't matter much which head unit you use. It will still sound like an I pad. Yah i understand that, i was looking for a balance of both. Function with a lil more form than a plain lookin single din. You say that as if you think ipads sound horrible? An ipad can hold a high quality digital file like ALAC, AIFF, stuff like that. Active crossover capable, 24 bit processor, time alignment, speaker level control.
