DLHgn
You don't see the use until you get one. lol Once you get one you'll be trying to find ways to use it. Haha I believe it. I really need to get my hands on some tools of my own. I couldn't stand having to borrow tools from like 3 different people to get my first box built and on top of that I didn't even have all the tools I wanted. All I had is a circular saw, a jigsaw, a drill and some sand paper. No clamps no router no real knowledge lol. Looks a little funky but hey, it does what it was designed to do so that's all I can really ask for for my first build right? I also can't wait to have a place to do work. I built my box on my dad's covered back porch (12' x 6' slab of uneven concrete with all of his porch furniture on it) in the very cold rain. Luckily it subsided long enough for me to go and cut my wood out on the lawn. My dad thought I was crazy for staying out there all day and night for like 3 days. Shouldn't have taken me that long but I had no idea what I was really doing and that uneven concrete made it a real PITA to build. All whining aside, I definitely learned a lot during the whole process.
audiofanaticz
get a small air compressor and brad nailer. Porter Cable usually has a bundle with both. Screws are a waste for building boxes and often times used improperly. Glue and clamps is all you really need for the most part. You can get away with no screws and nails then.. bsneon98
dude go to walmart get the 20v lithium black and decker matrix. i own 2 and they are under 50$ i have built countless boxes and walls with mine. they hold a charge a damn long time. i can almost get a full wall build out of a full battery. The same I use for cordless. I beat the piss out of mine and have 3 batteries, One drill has smoked a couple times and keeps on going. Corded I use the $12 harbor freight drill master variable speed drill. Youd be extremely surprised at this drill. I love it Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/152954-1998-plymouth-neon-updates/

I want to get a bunch of clamps when I get my tools. I hated using screws. They look ugly and are a giant pain.

Then a couple years later all their shit drops prices like crazy, it only tells me that the quality is not the same. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
