pthrift
But hopefully this one is okay. I'm looking at the CT Sounds amps, either two of the 900.1's or a single 1400.1. I know they have a master/slave option. They're listed on eBay for so close to the same $$ for refurbished ones that I can't decide which is the best route to go in. So far the electrical in the truck is stock other than the big 3, but I've got a 2nd battery & battery tray on the way (Tahoe), and a new alt isn't out of the question but isn't necessarily desired either. Planning to run two of the 125.2's from them on components up front. Looking to run a pair of subs--most likely a pair of 10's. Undecided on what subs, it'll be something to match whatever amp/amps I decide on. TL;Dr: Which is better, all else being equal. Two 900watt amps or a single 1400w amp? Miguels
if wired at a final ohm load at 1 ohm the 2 900 watt amps would be a better option my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
pthrift
Maybe I wasn't very clear, I don't have subs yet so I can pick up whatever works. I was thinking more of a which is better from a tuning/electrical/box design aspect of it Clicky for build log.... 2002 Tahoe DC Power Inc 3 alt bracket with 2x230a. alts 1 stock Eclipse CD5030 2 JL HD 600/4 4 Rockford Fosgate 2500bdcp's 4 DC Audio 18" XL's 4 Pr MB Quart Premium Components 200FT Stinger HPM 1/0 Rockford 360.2 No where near enough sound deadening
Miguels
nothing will change other than the amps the box will stay the same and tuning will be the same. the 2 amps will give you a bit of head room.. given that the gains on the 2 amps will be lower the electrical required will stay the same.. its only 400 watts difference my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
MrSkippyJ
For only 400 watts extra I would stay with one amp, much simpler. rocking.that.eclipse
Came in here expecting to see the Hammer.... But I personally am a fan of 2 amps. More opportunity for dissipating heat
MrSkippyJ
Also more opportunity to create heat.
