Sq questions and goals

I have a Gmc 4dr Extended cab truck as a platform

I would like to do a budget-ish SQ system in it. and a few questions

Plans or equipment so far figured out

Besides sound damping the doors, headliner and rear of the cab. Any other major spots I should pay attention to?

I want to run the least amount of physical amps. That being said I would like to run 6 separate channels to the front stage and a set for a sub channel. What are my options.

Pertaining to the last question. How do split my front signal into 6 different channels for just the fronts?

Equipment I think I want so far. (not necessarily purchased yet)

I have a

Pioneer MVH X580BS chose it because of BT also has timing and positioning built into it.

Thinking about

JL audio xd800 8v2 8ch amp

RF 360.3

Qlogic kick panels

Under the seat 10in box

Alpine SWT-10s4 10in sub

Dayton Audio PS180-8 6-1/2" mid range for the kick panel

Peerless by Tymphany XT25BG60-04 tweeter for the kick panel

Dayton Audio DCS165-4 6.5in mid sub for the front doors

My biggest problem is how can I split the font output to cover six separate channels on the JL amp so I can tune them all individually.

I count 9 speakers? Only 8 channels on amp. Im a noob but heres some choices i can see.

1. buy a separate sub amp, so u dont need to bridge 2 of those 8channels for ur sub. Then u could use the 8channels for ur 8 mids/highs speakers individually.

2. Buy one set of components for those kickpanels instead of separate mids and tweets. Buy a set with a 6.5 with a tweeter and USE the passive crossover it comes with and mount both those speakers into each kickpanel. That way u only need 6 channels of amp output because ur combining 1mid and 1tweet onto 1channel of ur amp output. BUT that takes away the custom tuning for the kick panels, the passive crossover would do the tuning. Thats my noob suggestions lol, goodluck man.

1. There is 7 speakers 6 in the front and the sub.

2. I am not sure of the quality of most componets as well as adding more components even in the way of a passive xover is what i am trying to avoid.

Silverflute 6.5 for midbass

Dayton referance 3" for full range.

No tweeter needed

Interesting thought. I am not really trying to build custom kicks and I dont think the 3in would fit in the spot on the qforms kick panel though it was for 1in tweeters. ?

change that EQS to a full DSP like a RF360.3 or PS8, problem solved.

That is what I was wondering. So do either of those make it so the output channels are all the same then? So I can dedicate 6 channels to the front and still have a sub channel though say the 360.3

I love how people think that you buy multiple drivers, slap them in, and call it Sound Quality.

... and here it is almost three months and I'm just now getting my tweeters dialed in on my SQ build.

It's all about application. Only use what you need to make it work. Overkill can cost you more than it can help you.

OP.. please slow down. The 800/8 is a great choice in my opinion for tons of channels in a small footprint at a pretty decent budget.

We have a couple issues however. Your talking about doing some quick fix Q logic kick panels? SQ systems spend months on aiming and tuning. So please keep that in mind before you think some prefabricated kick panels is a good way to get a great SQ car. Now there are tons of good reasons to use kick panels and many other locations for your speakers but custom aiming them (for many reasons) is important. A few reasons that I will mention but not explain include and are not limited to 1) specific speaker dispersion "on and off axis response" 2) 1 seat SQ or 2 seat SQ 3) physical space constraints (im taller then you so i might need more leg room, and my legs might be in the way with some prefab kick panels)

The way that I would do this is to get a 800/8. Get a nice 3 way set (either by mix and matching or just getting a 3 way. I would power the tweets off channel 1 & 2, the mid range on channel 3 & 4.. and then i would bridge 5/6 and 7/8 for 150RMS x 2 for your two mid bass since mid bass are inherently less efficient. and require more power in most cases.

The mid bass can be in the stock locations and still have success. However the tweeters and mid range should have some custom aiming and thought in mind.

Aso a DSP of some sort would be helpful for someone as new as yourself to SQ. It can bandaid a few speaker placement mistakes if used correctly. But bandaids are never perfect so keep that in mind.

As far as sound dampening. I prefer second skin. You can call them anytime and they will guide you through the sound dampening process and they have tons of info on their site.

I am not trying to offend or piss anyone off with the wrong terminology

This is what I was hoping to go for. Are 7 speakers total overkill?

I thought so as well with the amp.

I am not trying to be a great award winning SQ car. I really want a good sounding system however, because I am just not into being a basshead anymore.

That was mostly my thoughts on how to run the amp, so that became another question I do want to run a subwoofer as well so another amp would be needed or run 7/8 as a bridged channel to run the sub.

I have a 360.3 in my amazon list now as far as a dsp goes.

What I have seen i do like second skin as well still doing some research on that but yea.
