Lithium is the newer up and coming technology in the audio world for the past couple years. It offers great benefits such as weight, size, power density, etc. But what about when it fails? What happens? People think since it is a Lithium that it will engulf in a ball of flames, or explode. LiFePo4 is in fact the safest lithium chemistry. And this is what happens when one receives 5 volts per cell for a prolonged amount of time. Not very violent, huh? In fact I would wager that a typical AGM receiving such charge voltage and venting as a result may be more violent than what happened with this lifepo4.
