Ive been playing Crysis again lately (on a harder level) and with the patch they released a while back, its AMAZING at FULL graphics!!! Watercooled for those that dont know Dual 8800GTX - SLI bitches! nothing like having 4 DVI ports but only gettin to use 1 (in SLI mode). I sorta want to get 3 24" monitors and make me a badass gaming "booth" I wonder how much of a hit in perfomance i would take on that though Optical out for when i hook this up to my 50" plasma and home-system. Once in a while i do! After a year and a half going on 2, Crysis is the ONLY game i have found to test the limits of this machine.....not bad! Then again, for almost 6 grand, it better! You just need a spot for the tank and pump, other then that its not bad. Im thinkin of building a new gaming machine for the kids with a brand new "super" tower ive had layin around for 2 years and when i do it will be all watercooled too... its fun to buy a computer for a change, which i did with this one......but i am a builder from way back and its even more fun to go put one together piece by piece. Torres Posted October 8, 2008 Report Share Posted October 8, 2008 if your OS recognizes it, no it's not a waste. vista basic i think recognizes 2 gigs? i have ultimate and i have 4 gigs on mine. i wouldnt think of going less. especially with games nowadays. vista itself takes up a lot of ram to function itself also. water cooling is neat, but i had a bad experience when i did mine even tho i listened to everyone else and did what i should do, and didnt do what i shouldnt do, so i'm going to stick with good ol' fans from now on. steve...you see the crysis expansion? i think it's out now...or going to be very soon. supposed to be a smoother engine to run better on more mild machines...which just means it'll run THAT much better on beefy ones Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
