daddy_j
I know what I need, I just dont know how they sell it. I only need (2) at 7 inches so do I buy the kit and 2 extra flares (becasue they sell them at 17inches each) or do I have to buy 2 kits? And have like ~20 inches wasted? reinke
just to let you know people are wondering why you did that with the speaker wires through the ports over on FGF. http://fiberglassforums.com/showthread.php?t=7800 ----reference's---- meade916
Chris from Mi
You'll need to buy two kits, each kit comes with an inner and outer flare and a straight piece of pvc pipe The outer flare already has a flange, and holes drilled in it. Oh, btw the pvc that comes in the kit has different dimensions than the thin walled stuff at home depot/lowes etc, so measure twice cut once. (if you plan on trying different setups, i'd buy an extra piece of pvc) It wouldnt surprise me at all if the aeroports, and glassed 45's bring you up to 150. daddy_j
just to let you know people are wondering why you did that with the speaker wires through the ports over on FGF. http://fiberglassforums.com/showthread.php?t=7800 THanks for the heads up. I responded, but I had to make an account. I have never even heard of that site. I cant believe someone came in here and copied my pic just to go to another site and bad mouth it. Thats funny. Here are somemore pics with the new ports cut to 7inches and the wires NOT running through the port. And yes I know I need 8gauge wire, just a little short on cash, that is why I havent bought the new aero ports.
Nightshade
8 guage wire is going to help a bunch. Maybe even up to a full db. Also try moving your boxes around some too, that may help the score a little or even alot. It looks good the way you have it now, no need to make fun of it. 2013 VW Jetta GLI 2.0 Turbo 1 Sundown Audio SCV2000 1 Sundown Audio X15 V2 1 XS Power D3100 Audio Control LC6i Stock Deck 146.4 sealed on the dash at 37hz 2001 Focus ZX3: RETIRED Team Sundown Audio, Team XS Power, 2 time NSPL Car 3601-Up Champion, 2 time NSPL Car Hardcore ChampionHighest NSPL Scores to date:154.3db on the dash sealed at 46hz, 156.2db in the kick at 46hz155.2db unofficial on dash at 43hz

Charger
You need narrower enclosures that are longer. Two 11x11x18" long enclosures work I believe. The ports are waay too small. You need 6" internal diameter PVC ports that are 17-18" long to get it to a good starting point. Those enclosures you have now are barely even coupling with the car. daddy_j
I have tested and moved the boxes and found where it is loudest. Where they are now is the loudest in my car. I will upgrade to 8gauge and aero ports as soon I get some extra cash. Right now I cant even afford aero ports and you want me to go and buy another amp, lol. I have to work with what I got. If I cant get to 150dbs with my two 10s then, I'll upgrade. BUt for the moment I have to make it work with what I got. Charger where are you getting your numbers from? Do you have solox10s or are you in a crx? If not please let me know where you are getting your numbers. If you are indeed running solox10s and a crx, I sorry, and maybe on my next box I will try the numbers you gave. And what is ment by coulping the car? Please explain. The boxes are tuned to 63hz and the cars frequency is 63. Pretty close if you ask me.
