thehoe92 Posted February 8, 2010 Author Report Posted February 8, 2010 umm stupid question did you get an alignment, because either im trippin or you got some serious issues/ gonna burn yo fuggin tires up! alignment comes as soon as I get $56 which should be in a couple days its got quite the negative camber but that is also for the safety of my fenders when I hit a bump it tucks instead of going straight up Chris has talked to multiple goodyear guys and I have talked to both my Les Schwab neighbors about negative camber effecting tire wear and they all say that by the time you need to replace your tires anyways it will have barely worn them. It drives fairly straight as it is, just pulls slightly to the right but thats also fairly normal why dont you order a new emblem or a couple of em. You can change the colors out when you want especially if you can wipe the color right off your rims I might put a clear over the purple just so they last a little longer and that was the idea I was talking with my dad about yesterday especially considering my current emblem has some pits in it from rock chips so the "leather" texture hides the flaws Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple
mr.p Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 LOL your saying that having offset camber DOESNT wear your tires? because im sure i speak for more than myself here when you have to rebuy tires your going to kick yourself in the balls on the price. DCAUDIO BALLS DEEP

Camber doesn't wear your tires. Toe in/ toe out does. Camber causes your tires to wear unevenly, but not at a ridiculous rate like toe would. If he corrects it within a couple months, he'll be fine. thehoe92 Posted February 8, 2010 Author Report Posted February 8, 2010 Camber doesn't wear your tires. Toe in/ toe out does. Camber causes your tires to wear unevenly, but not at a ridiculous rate like toe would. If he corrects it within a couple weeks maybe even days, he'll be fine. corrected! remember I have 10" wide 24" round tires everything that would be fine normally stock at 16" will be exponentially increased when you step up to 24" its alright though I already have my alignment appointment I'll talk to the guy to get exactly what I want Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple

Jared420 Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 hey man wanted to let you know after seeing some of the newer pics Im not so against it anymore, It definatley does giveyour hoe a different look and it makes it pretty unique. Still personally not a fan of purple but that doesnt mean I dont think what your doin looks good. It definatley pops out more and Not that 24's are plain but adding that to them makes them look pretty sick. If your gonna stick with the purple theme you got any plans to do like a purple billet grille? I think that would look pretty sick too if your gonna stick with the purple, I got all chrome accents on my silverado and when I put the chrome grille on it just adds so much to the front end. 2012 silverado ext cab ltz 24" kmc rims AudioQue 2200 Pioneer AppRadio Alpine mrx f35 4 channel Bose mids and highs Iraggi Alt + stock alt in a DC power dual alternator kit Yellowtop+stock under hood 0 gauge Knu wire Big 3 4 gauge stinger (4 chan wiring) 3 DC 10'' LVL3 with LVL4 parts
meade916 Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 back isn't as low as it can go, I'm aware..I talked to Steve yesterday and when he starts his Air Ride I can test out his DJM coils to see if I actually get the 5" drop, it would also help if I had a couple hundred pounds in subs to weigh it down the steps aren't going anywhere my hoe looks naked without them i said the same thing but i was so happy to see them gone.......i thought they made my truck look lower but they dont. If you like them, leave them but im just sayin i dont miss mine at all. Your 7 feet tall, you probably dont need to step on them ever :D I see you took off your roof rack, shit looks good that way! i would take mine off too if i didnt use it sometimes. umm stupid question did you get an alignment, because either im trippin or you got some serious issues/ gonna burn yo fuggin tires up! not a stupid question - thats the first thing you should do when you lower that bitch....if you plan on keeping your tires longer then 6 months. alignment comes as soon as I get $56 which should be in a couple daysits got quite the negative camber but that is also for the safety of my fenders when I hit a bump it tucks instead of going straight up Chris has talked to multiple goodyear guys and I have talked to both my Les Schwab neighbors about negative camber effecting tire wear and they all say that by the time you need to replace your tires anyways it will have barely worn them. It drives fairly straight as it is, just pulls slightly to the right but thats also fairly normal get your truck aligned unless you plan on getting new tires soon. You will be sorry when your tire is brand new except for the steel belts hanging on one side and full tread on the other. Trust me, ive driven lowered cars, with hydraulics, with air, with static drops.......and i have wore out enough tires and FAST to know better. Those goodyear guys and that les shwab dude probably never owned a lowered car in their life. get that bitch aligned!! LOL your saying that having offset camber DOESNT wear your tires? because im sure i speak for more than myself here when you have to rebuy tires your going to kick yourself in the balls on the price. P, you are right.....he will kick himself in the balls. Im surprised i have 3 kids from kicking myself in the balls so many times over the years. Im not innocent, i know whats happening here, i drove on steel belts many-a-time...this Tahoe was aligned right after the drop kit and a couple other times in the last 6 years, and never had a wear issue. Shitty ass KUMHO's fell apart but the tread was perfect. offset and camber are 2 totally separate things never said it didn't wear tires I said by the time I have to replace rubber bands, which will be faster than normal tires, the effect that the negative camber will of had on the wear won't be enough to make me have to buy tires FASTER I'm pretty sure I bought the 24's and the drop kit taking into consideration the good and the bad and I am prepared to spend money on what goes wrong please preston its ok to hate but don't do it so much your little man syndrome is showing through ...still friends? "rubber band" tires should last just as long as any other tire if you have good alignment and you dont do doughnuts in the parking lot.
