Sinosic Posted March 31, 2009 Report Share Posted March 31, 2009 i spread the glue to insure max bond. picture of the port bend after the truckbed liner and port painted. needs a sub..... i just happen to have a 18" sub that forevrbumpn made for me that needed a home sub and enclosure in back of my explorer. alittle over 8 cuft after displacements tuned @ 31hz the amp i will be using is a modded mtx 1501d @ 1ohm whatcha think? If you wanna get those "ribs" out of your kerf bend, cut them just a little less shallow, maybe a 1/16 " or so, and double the amount of kerf cuts in the bend. Well.... double may be a little too much , so maybe lets say you made 15 cuts, try it with 21 or 22 .... but it looks cool . Just a thought. I havent made a kerf cut in Mdf, especially not that tall, but when I did interior trim carpentry, we ran into that problem quite often. I would think the same rules apply.
