Forevrbumpn
a room as a bedroom? Kind of a rool of thumb in home audio Bigger room, bigger speakers smaller room, smaller speakers Of course you can put a big sub in a room, but wont sound the same as a big sub, in a large room, same goes for mids, and highs and power Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. caligreen
yeah like a bedroom.so i should roll with that logitech then>? have you considered getting a receiver and a nice pair of bookshelf speakers? you can always add a powered sub, center and surrounds later on if needed, you'll get everything at once with the logitech but they sound pretty bad. something like this would get you started as an entry level receiver... http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/se...p;sku=D343-1006

I was running a $400 Sony 5.1 reciever a year ago and some yamaha bookshelfs (8" mid, 1" textile dome tweet) and they sounded awesome...rather than buying a powered sub I would look at building your own enclosure and using a BASH plate amp on a 8, 10, 12, 15, or 18.....depending how big you wanan go....trust me you'll be much happier... BJD3
If the room isn't super big, and you are willing to sacrifice some audio quality, go with the Z-5500. It isn't bad sounding, but it won't compete with a good receiver and decent bookshelves. The one thing I wouldn't get is the home theater in a box. Everyone I've talked to that knows home theater doesn't really like them. The main reason being if a speaker goes, they normally use proprietary connectors, so you can toss the whole bundle in the trash and get a new one. Torres
damn...i was about to say i love my logitech setup (soon going to add an 8" sub to it). now i've never heard a home theater setup tho, but i dont really want to spend THAT much (at least yet) on one. i'm happy with my sound for the price, and i have nice surround sound. i still gotta kinda balance the speakers out tho lol
