dont know about 'damage'. as stated before, if your system is "small" the only thing thats going to happen is annoying rattles.

personally, i suggest investing in some type of sound deadening material

The set up your talking about would sound great in my Tahoe. Trade you my dog for it. He has one eye but that only makes for bad depth perception so hey so what if he is running into shit, look at it this way he is easy to sneak up ninja style on. (right side only)

My car is Dynamatted from head to toe double layered and I think the only thing holding my car together is screws. The Dynamat makes my highs sound a little better. As far as bass goes...well I don't think my deadener is doing anything. I'm not hitting wild numbers, but with my door panels off, I see pure devastation. I haven't been able to stop anything from cracking/breaking while they are off.

Guess I didn't quite answer your question. :D

i guess it just depends really. if you have a small system, it won't do much. just make it where there is no rattle and a bit louder inside. now if you have a bigger setup and you want DBs, then it helps with DBs and to make sure you don't tear your roof apart like some people. so it just depends on the setup.

Dynamate does not allways help db's in some cars it steals the db's of also raises the res. Freq. Of your car I'm a spl guy and it robbed me if a full db sounded better but was not as loud I had to rip it all out not a fun task

But it will cut down road noise and rattle

Have you ever had your woofers blown?
