all the higher end units should have a defeatable amp option on them my kenwood xxv-01d does and the eclipse 8454 I have does as well.

THERE IS NO BUILD LOG!

pioneer 880prs and the 800prs you can turn it off

Most jvc deck you can turn it off same for alpinje.

My old kenwood XXV-01D single din had a internal amp turn off. That unit was a SQ dream.... but complicated to use. And I think the 9887 still sells for less than three hundred. I got mine from Al & Ed's beginning of last year for 249.00

FINALLY !!! I GOT IT METERED ON THE TERMLAB !!! I did a 140.2 at 42 hertz.

Most of the Kenwood eXcelon radios give you the capability to turn the internal amp on and off.

My Alpine 7949E didn't have an internal amp :lol: Even had blackout mode for uber SQ powaaa... used it to pause/play burps and not much else because NOTHING could make that changer skip :)

Pioneer's new P99 doesn't have one (or the old P90/P9) but they cost a bomb...
