BlockShaker
http://seachoice.com/productdetail/ProdDetail.asp?pid=32477why not use something like that instead of all the little wires? I really like that piece. I just wished I knew about it before I spent all that time trying to make my own buss bar creation. We all learn new ways and new products all the time. Texas Tech
okay i have a question... Say you have 2 amps (keep it simple) and you use that bus bar idea. You obviously have to have a constant 12 V connected to the bus bar, the REM wire from the head unit to the bus bar, and a ground from the bus bar to the metal of yoru car. Then you have 2 REM wires going from the bus bar to the 2 amps. Well my question is, do you only need ONE constant 12 V connected to the bus bar, or 2, since there are two REM wires going to two individual amps. Also, same for ground, do you need ONE ground going from the bus bar to the metal of your car, or two grounds. roscoe1129
keep it real simple and just stick to the relay, wire it up as said and your done... no bus bars or xtra confusion for a first timer Quote Some people need a sympathetic pat... on the head...with my hammer Scientia est Vox "In Nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti" DONT BE AFRAID TO USE THE SEARCH BUTTON!!! Texas Tech
alright but can someone answer my questions so i know about the situation though. I guess i would only need one 12 V source and one ground since if i used a relay i would only use one of each for 2 or 3 amps anyways cuz thats how it is set up. roscoe1129
correct one + and one - "Using a 30 amp SPDT relay, connect terminal #87 to constant 12 volts positive (with a fuse rated 200 ma for each amplifier. optionalbut a good idea.) Connect terminal #85 to ground, terminal #86 to the remote turn on wire from the head unit, and terminal #30 to each amp.
