Im still trying to figure out why the thread starter wants a DD9515, when he is looking for a 12 inch sub...

was thinkin the same thing, he says 9515 vs btl, so im thinkin vs btl 15. Then he says 12 at the end and i was like wtfuck mate? But id vote 9512 if he goes with a 12 or 9515 if he goes with a 15. But whats he got to spend?

More than likely the DD can get louder than the Btl, but each in the proper size box will work just fine. I'd probably go with the 9500 if you can afford it, but the Btl is a very solid daily/spl woofer. It's a hard decision, and I would say it depends on how serious you are about competing. If you go to a few shows then go with the Btl cause your main focus is daily, if you make 10+ shows a year then I'd say that you might want to go with the 9500. I've owned both woofers and the Btl is no doubt the superior daily sub. They sound awesome and get very loud. I had a single 12 in the trunk do a 143 off of 1800 watts tuned to 30hz.

In the thrid sentence he asked which one he should go with the 9515 or the btl not VS.

i love this sh--t man 1966 Ford Fairlane Pioneer prs 80, the big three, with 2 big azz agm batts, dual 270/200 amp alts , two 8'' mids and tweets in the kick( PPI phantom 600.2). two 10''s and tweets in the doors, two 10'' mids and tweets in the rear decK ( Lanar opti 500x2). 2 C2 Audio Threatcon 4 12s on a Crunch GP3000d. No crossover .

So you're planning on running 1500w to a woofer and you narrowed your choices to a BTL or DD 9500, ooook. Both woofers aren't even gonna be anywhere near potential with that power, pretty much pointless to run either one on 1500w.

If you were to get a lower line woofer w/ the same power it would be much louder. Another analogy would be like having 1000hp car but having no traction to put the power down.

You'd have much better results w/ a woofer like - DC LVL4, FI BL, IA Death Row, DD 2500/3500, etc woofer that handle 1500w daily. There are soo many threads talking about woofers and around that power range.
