Got Bored And Decided I Needed A Better Volt Guage.

Recommended Posts

So I was getting sick of the stock volt gauge in my insturment cluster. It seemed to be not to accurate and only changed every few seconds.

So I had two Rockford fosgate 1 fared digital top capacitors that where in the car when I got it, and decided too take the digital top off one of them.

Here are some pics, nothing too great but it gives me the actual readout and its fun to watch sometimes. I still got to go back and clean up some of the wires and make sure everything will be secure.

Thats a slick idea man....haha if i had any caps i'd do that, and use the rest of it for a real nice paperweight.

so did you just extend the wires from the caps top portion?

Exactly what I did. I just wanted to make sure it will work. Im going to end up soldering the wires from the board to the display. Right now the wires are just pushed onto the pins of the lcd board, and pushed into the chip board plug.

PS: Sean, I still got another digital top 1 fared cap
