By your picture..How are both subs gonna fire into the port area?? I've never seen a box built like this..? Thats too High tech for me to figure out..Do tell how that box works..Please..

that is a true "clamshell" configuration......single reflex, isobaric bandpass.

PRO: 2 subs so you have extra power handling, more options with the impedence. Box size can be Halved. Of course his is a bandpass so it kind of off sets the halved part :D bandpasses run big. For example i could put two RE MT 18's in a 3 cubic foot ported box in that configuration and it SHOULD hammer hard as hell. Actually if you look at his pics, the sealed chamber of that BP is VERY small.....my point exactly.

Con: Technically its really only the output of 1 sub since instead of having the front of the cone and the rear now you have two rears. Thats what they say but in my experience they have always been louder then "one sub" when configured like this.

I used to build those all the time and i was planning on experimenting with these extra RE MT 18's i have laying around. :D Let us know how she sounds man and get some vids if possible. Its been a minute since i did one of those but they are fun especially if you are successful and it sounds good!

Nice build to man! :D Excellent!

IMO That looks more like an isobaric tline bandpass...That "ported" section has no real compression chamber, and enough port area for a t line, so I can't see it being a typical ported...

Edit: box looks great though. I really want to get into bandpass boxes sooner or later.

yes it is iso band pass tline

Man I wanted to see some closer pics but damn, they wont load up now cuz they are so big!

The iso band pass was the design for the fact that they do get louder than usual tlines, and has a better bandwidth because of that sealed chamber, and gets louder cuz of that sealed chamber.

Iam sure this box will rattle balls!!

Okay, now the pics downsized

I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

spxetreme or forevrbumpn, how do you calculate the volume of the sealed chamber in a bandpass? I assume the fact that it's isobaric allows you to cut the length of the line in half, but I'm confused on where you derive the sealed volume from.
