all4spl Posted February 8, 2012 Report Share Posted February 8, 2012 Via my DD-1 my CDA-9887 is clip free to 35 full, EQ and Xovers set to flat with Subout Max +15, using the DD-1 Test Disc. I also want to point out something, just because someone has tested your brand/model of unit, that is NOT a perfect indicator of what YOUR unit will do. Examples are my unit the 9887 some get distortion much lower than I do. So keep in mind when you are asking what does this or that unit clip at, what you read or get a response of should be taken with a grain of salt, as your unit may be slightly or greatly different. QA is not good enough at these manufacturer's to say ALL of this brand/model will clip at this volume level. The best way to find out is get your unit tested with either an O-Scope or a DD-1.
