I think its actually $30 a month for the ipad 3g so screw all that. .plus, im ALWAYS near wifi unless im on the road. If im on the road and i want it i will fire up myfi FTMFW ad. I'm going on an "open ended vacation" to los angeles at the end of the week and really want some sort of entertainment for my 6.5 hour plane trip. I almost thought about getting the 3g one but I have an iphone and figured it would be smarter to just jailbreak it and get the app you are always talking about and use that as my wifi. for some reason I don't like the idea of jailbreaking my phone but if it saves me $25/month and $120 from initial purchase then I might just do it. hmm decisions decisions Quote 2001 Tahoe. If it was my ONLY computer i would probably jump on it, but as you know its not - i have pc's coming out of my ears (and a mac too LOL). just dont upgrade to the new iphone software till they figure out how to re-jailbreak it again.... for a long trip like you are talking about, the ipad is teh shit! I like it just for keeping it close by when watching a movie or something.
