Chamois
Im trying to do this box design by myself, and trying to tune it correctly but for some reason the Tuning Calculator is telling me i only need 2" of port length for 35hz Well i figured since you guys are experts at this, that i should make sure its correct before i go cutting up my MDF So here are my box's Outer Demensions Height: 18" Width: 36" Depth: 22" Box Volume: 6.75 Cubic Feet Here is a sketchup i made: I really need help figuring out the center port tuning .. Namosh
For that box you should be closer to 6" for 35hz...HOWEVER, that's not nearly enough port area. Quote My Ram Quad Cab Blow-through

Yeah but if i add more port length, it will drop the tuning, correct? This is what someone else told me: 7.2ft tuned to 35hz with 125" of port is pretty dang close to perfect for those subs But how can i achieve this in a small box? Tek
You will have a bitch load of port noise. Get more port area, no less than 90^2 inches, and than you will be able to make a longer port while still having your desired tuning fq Edited August 21, 2010 by Tek
Chamois
Ive tried to design the box myself, guess I cant fit my 2 15s considering they require like a 48x36x24 box to get them tuned correctly .. Guess ill stick with my shitty Type R Ill keep attempting a design, but no luck yet Edited August 22, 2010 by Chamois Quote 2006 Saab 9-3 2.0T

Chamois
What are your max dimensions you can fit? I think my max dimensions are about 40" wide 16" high depth doesnt matter ** My trunk opening is only 20" wide, so if its any wider then i can slide the box in through my back seat ** Quote 2006 Saab 9-3 2.0T
