dohckiller808 Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 i think its pretty damn hard. no disrespect but 30 hz takes a ton of power to reproduce and hes already nipping at 150. i dunno if the smd has 5 more in her at that freq with his goals of build.
CJ18 Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 So, you didnt do your 155, as everyone here would agree the green number is the number we go by... Nice number regardless... I do agree that the big green number is the standard that everyone here measures by. If your final big green number reaches a 155 now that will be very fucking impressive.
GRITS Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 no, he was right, the TL averages the 3 frequencies. but using that peak number is... well... stupid. I havnt been following this at all and i have no comment on any other part of this thread. Im just saying, whats the point of using the TL if we go by that peak number? might as well use the old stick mic, or AC mic. it looks like you are comparing the peak score to other peoples "average" score. thats not really accurate now is it? its like saying your louder than some one because you put the mic in the kick and they had it on the dash. i dont know what has been said before here and im not trying to add to it. But lets be fair and use the real number. Couldn't agree more!! By signaling out 30 hz thats not acceptable! No Comp does it like that and any competitor is going to come down on you for doing it that way. That would be as bad as me claiming my port score for my real number. You were trying MECA style with the mic, now try USACi by putting it in the kick you would probably hit a 150.... clean the crap out your car first A 149 is a nice number

Hugh G. Rection Posted October 24, 2010 Author Report Posted October 24, 2010 So, you didnt do your 155, as everyone here would agree the green number is the number we go by... Nice number regardless... tomorrow im planning to spend the entire day in the car working on the enclosure, and working on the car itself. right now i think the biggest thing im fighting against is the car itself. everything is just falling apart. as far as the green number goes, it'll do right at 151 right now. the problem im having is with the interior panels of the car. i have to figure out some way to attach them all more securely. the lift gate panel doesnt have any screws, and moves probably 2 or 3 inches, so ill most likely have to figure out some way to secure it with screws of some sort. same for door panels. also, i installed a set of new door panels on the front doors friday morning. something broke in the passenger side door panel yesterday and you can hear it slapping around, and it is moving alot. the driver door panel moves alot too. so ive gotta figure out how to tighten them all up and ill screw them to the metal of the door. i thought seriously yesterday that the door panel moving so much was gonna bruise my leg while i was driving. im gonna tweak the amp some more, and work on the enclosure. so throughout the day tomorrow we should see that green number creeping closer and closer to 155. wonder what "owners1" does for his green number? unlike him, atleast ive been honest from the time i posted and said that i did it by isolating that one single frequency, and i also have admitted the whole time what my green number actually is. UnderLoK Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 hmmmmm who woulda thunk it the smd does get loud. :clapping: :clapping: Me.... I just keep my nose out of the pissing matches. I would guess Smoke and the Brit (forget his name the guy with the van) would both agree too. No disrespect intended at all, but you're tuned way too low to keep your car together... Very respectable number either way... I'm not sure who this "owners1" is, but if he didnt do a number in the green, then its bullshit too... That goes for anyone... Deadening the panels can help a little... Mine hold up ok (I peak 26-28hz), but the center pieces around the door handles... Not so much... lol If at first you do not succeed, you are doing it wrong! -ARSCheck out my walled TBSS build over here4 Fi Team 18s on 2 Cactus K9 DS18 doors on 2 MBQ 1Ks, Vifa pillars on a STL4.500 Pioneer X8500 6 XS Power D7500, 1 3400S Second Skin 2 270a Mechman Alts
