Autruche
Sorry guys, I wasn't aware that Zshare went down. I just finished uploading everything to MediaFire. All links have been updated and should work fine. Hopefully I won't have to worry about MediaFire going under any time soon. Finding good hosting sites can be a real pain now. In the future, if there are any problems with the links in this thread, Please PM me about them so I can take care of them as quickly as I can. Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? Autruche
can you make a master download link, for everything? I can't host a file that large on MediaFire. I am uploading sets of sine waves of 1-100Hz at each amplitude so people can alternatively download all sine waves for a certain amplitude at once instead of 10 different zips each. onebadmonte
Great thread. Very useful. Autruche, I was wondering if you could post some info on how to create test tone tracks in case I want to create one that you haven't already created. Thanks. Autruche
Alright, it's quite simple. I just used Audacity to make the tones. The sweeps were done in a different program though. Anyway... In Audacity: Select Tracks>Add New>Stereo Track Then go to Generate>Tone Set wave form to sine wave and select your frequency and length of track. Click okay. Now use the 'amplify' effect to make it to your desired amplitude. I usually use the 'fade in' effect to fade in the first 3-5 seconds of the track, and the 'fade out' effect on the last 3-5 seconds of the track to eliminate any 'pop' noises from the beginning and end of the tracks. moh.vze.com
For this part: "Now for the big question: How do I set my filters?" Isn't it easier to just set the LPF and HPF's on the headunit settings instead of having it set to "thru" mode and then manually turning the knobs on the amp and using all of these calculations?
