bassl0va
I know a lot of you guys liked my DUB 10" repair thread from way back. There is something new coming from the workshop (bedroom/kitchen/whatever-room-is-closest). It's second to the wall and I might be getting some parts for it to replace the current ones I'm about to use so it mightn't be done for a while, but it's still cool. Here's a sneak peak [/url] Current specs (as of no new parts): Alpine type E motor Old school pioneer basket (chopped ) 2 ohm hand wound coil on type E former (subject to change) Dual type E spiders (de-spaced, no room for spaced spiders, also chopped and subject to change) Epoxied fiberglass reinforced cardboard cone Old school pioneer surround (subject to change) Note that it's still in parts and gluing, I need to pick up some bolts too. Oh, and if you like custom speakers, check out Forevrbumpn's site Http://www.faultlinecustoms.com It's a bit dead over there My RE MT 18" wall build Former build, farewell beloved wall.In progress, Toyota Starlet build This forum has a massive boner for ridiculous electrical upgrades. Forevrbumpn
Looks like a beefy speaker in the works, maybe have to do a fully custom frame so you can do a larger spider lol And thanks for the link, that brought over 5 people around 4 - 5am this morning I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. bassl0va
interesting. interesting. indeed thanks, stay tuned. That my good sir is indeed a large 5.25 inch driver yes, I hope to put this in a tapped horn and do some serious deebeez for a speaker of it's size. Looks like a beefy speaker in the works, maybe have to do a fully custom frame so you can do a larger spider lol And thanks for the link, that brought over 5 people around 4 - 5am this morning Yes, when I pick it up it surprises me, haha, I'm still not use to how heavy it is for its size. The spider that I'm using at the moment is a 6" (that's the stock alpine type E size right?) that has been trimmed down to about 5.5"s so if all goes well it should be able to get some serious excursion .
