Strangely enough household vinegar water and a bit of dawn dish soap and a mister clean magic eraser should do it. My wife swears by it and I couldn't believe how good it works. There are few things in life I hate more than drywalling and painting.

Let me start out by saying this. I think people think i am rich and live in a huge house somewhere, but in reality, i live in a house me and the wife bought about 15 years ago. It is 50 years old and when we bought it, it REALLY showed. Since we have owned it, we have re-done just about everything in this house. New garage door and opener, New double pane windows (and slider), house completely plastered, front porch tiled, bathrooms tiled, kitchen tiled and all new appliances all the way to the stove exhaust hood. All new doors We re-textured, did some bullnose corners and painted the entire front (inside) of the house about 4 years ago. I also put brand new interior doors at every single existing door in the house. The bathroom in my room had a sliding door but i converted it to a regular door. For the last 4, almost 5 years, the house has been half done. We stopped short of the bedrooms and never got around to it. Even had a large hole that Dave Cope made while fixing my shower plumbing years ago (pipe burst). Never really fixed it the entire time. We got new carpet almost 10 years ago so we are due for that....but we also have 4 dogs so in a rush for that we are NOT. That leads me to this post. I FINALLY decided it was time. We would like to eventually sell this house and get a better one and we don't want to be embarrassed to let people down the hallway to see the back LOL. Plus, we just want it to feel good for a change. We don't own a mansion or a high dollar house, but it is OURS and we are ready to be proud of it, south of the hallway . So here is where i let some of you into my house. I won't get into too much detail but here is how it all came out. I even learned how to texture the walls myself! I had a friend who used to do it but he disappeared into thin air on me...so i taught myself For the last 2 weeks i have been a carpenter, a Drywall guy, an electrician, a painter, caulker and a plumber. I didn't take any "before" pics of my sons rooms. But here is some "during" pics as i started to work on them. They were both cleaned up and re-textured with a drywall hopper and then painted the color of their choice. All rooms have their own color but in shades that match the rest of the house walls. Hammy downs in my house RULE. Kay kay got my old 60" Plasma when i got my new TV in my living room. Lucky dog! Kay Kay also got my old gaming PC. He uses it every day and takes good care of it. All rooms got new blinds too. New queen beds, dressers and night stands for my sons rooms.
