So i got contacted by this company i have never heard of named "CAB". I think it stands for "Car Audio Bargain". They asked me if i would test a 1600.1d for them and put it on Youtube. I told them sure, but if it doesn't do it's power, you should be prepared for the bad just like the good. They agree'd and sent it to me. I tested it tonight after working all day at the shop so it will take me a few hours to edit the video. But here is a few pictures. Seems like a nice looking amp, hmmmmm i wonder how it did. Remember, i told them, i am posting the results good OR bad. Anyway, i also decided to drop one of my new SMD Quad Fuse blocks and a Half-Block grounding block to the table. It will make life easier than having the wires coming from down below. I set up a 300a fuse for larger amps (on 1/0) and 2, 4ga outputs with a 100a and 250a fuse for smaller amps. It actually worked out pretty nice...and looks good doing it IMO. Available http://www.wcCarAudio.com , Amazon and Ebay (cheap plug of course!). Now on to the pics. I actually think it's a downright sexy looking amp. Feels heavy, stout. Feels like the board extends from one end to the other with no empty space. lol. Oh, and i am very sorry but i didn't open it up and take pics of the guts yet. I forgot! I barely had time to squeeze in this test session let alone all the editing and posting i am about to do. I will do that tomorrow and re-post pics here for those who are interested in that. See you guys in about 2-4 hours when i am done with this video...stay tuned! Any guesses?

With the new fuse blocks done and shipping like crazy, i realized we needed some grounding blocks to go with them. Nothing sucks more than a fancy fuse block and having all your grounds screwed in all over the place...or even worse, multiple of them "8 pointed out" on a single screw into the chassis. The new blocks will give you a single point to ground to. And since they are a full on distribution block, they are also going to be just as suitable for the positive side. This is just a proto. The plan is to make them in this size, a size bigger than this (not sure how big), and a block half this size. Also, i plan on making a double block (about this size) but with positive AND negative on it (split in two sections). I also have plans for a cover plate. FYI: this is 1/4" Aluminum bar tapped and threaded with 1" 5/16" x 18 Stainless bolts and lock washers. It measures 12" ish irrc (this one). This is JUST the first stages so let a brotha work here and i will announce when i am finished with this and ready to sell them.

Damn meade, bench setup lookin' sexy! ...and so does the amp! never seen any of the other tests on it, but if it performs half as good as it looks it'll do rated lol... so, my guess.... ~1800w dynamic RMS 1ohm? :D

Even better. Independent tests on random examples helps us know if you didn't get sent a one off better built amp.

at least it helps to see the consistency on manufacturing
