Unhook sub wires from amp plug rcas in turn on if it doesn't protect then it's coming from bad sub shorted sub wire etc .. If it does protect its rca issue most likely1 point

You can check resistance outide the box but if you get a bad reading you will still have to take the sub out to make sure no wires are making contact with each other inside. I would hope that wires are somehow touching inside instead of having a bad sub.1 point
